7 Powerful Anti Cancer Foods

1. Berries

Considering how healthy and equally delicious berries are, they’re among the best foods on the planet. Brimming with antioxidants, berries are a super food that can help keep cancers – as well as other health problems – away. Indulge in strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and cranberries.

2. Tomatoes 

Next up, tomatoes contain extremely high amounts of lycopene, a cancer fighting phytonutrient. Studies have found that tomatoes reduce inflammation, boost immunity, and prevent as well as fight cancers of the respiratory and digestive systems. Its high vitamin C content further boosts its disease-fighting abilities. In general, bright red and orange foods are excellent at strengthening the body against disease.

3. Turmeric

Turmeric is one of the best anti cancer foods. This herb has loads of curcumin, a potent substance that researchers have found to reduce the size of tumours. Curcumin decreases inflammation in the body as well as prevents cancer. It helps the body heal from oxidative damage. Moreover, turmeric also has a stress-busting effect on the body and mind. 4. Green Tea 

Green tea is quite popular among the anti cancer foods. This drink is packed with antioxidants that are even more powerful than vitamin C when it comes to fighting free radicals. Studies confirm that green tea can detoxify the body, boost immunity, and even offer protection from UV rays. But don’t take too much, since green tea in excess has these side effects.

5. Green Vegetables

Leafy and cruciferous greens should form a part of everyone’s diet. Low in calories but super-high in vitamins, fibre, minerals, and antioxidants, these veggies boost health on all levels. Kale is one of the most nutrient dense foods. Spinach, collard greens, Swiss chard, cabbage, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, all strengthen immunity and help prevent and fight many diseases including cancer.

6. Garlic

Garlic is a pretty powerful Ayurvedic herb. Plenty of studies confirm that it fights infection, strengthens immunity, and protects the body from cancer. This pungent herb has been found to slow or possibly even stop the growth of cancer. However, make sure that you don’t overeat garlic since it has blood-thinning properties.

7. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Last on the list of anti cancer foods is extra virgin oil, one of the healthiest oils out there. Olive oil contains oleic acid, which can protect the body from brain cancer by suppressing the molecules in cancer cells. Olive oil has several other antioxidants that boost overall health and protect the cardiovascular system.
