A majority of the commercial toothpastes that we use today have ingredients that are pretty harmful and damaging to teeth. Fluoride, high sugar content and glycerin leave adverse effects in the long run. But you can also opt for natural ways. And coconut oil for teeth is a powerful Ayurvedic ingredient that’s been used for ages. Coconut oil for teeth can be your very own homemade teeth cleanser!

How To Prepare Coconut Oil Toothpaste?

Start by warming half a cup of edible virgin coconut oil. Add about 2 tbsp baking and use ten drops of cinnamon essential oil. Stir the paste well and let it cool down. Upon cooling, the mix can be used as an organic toothpaste that will not cause any damage. You can also add to the mix a small amount of edible bentonite and achieve a thicker consistency.

Coconut Oil For Teeth: Benefits

1. Coconut Oil Naturally Fights Cavities

Coconut oil has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. This makes it an impeccable ingredient to fight off bacteria, combat gum related ailments, and prevent cavities along with other oral infections. Coconut oil for teeth cleansing even massages your gums and maintains the dental hygiene.

2. Coconut Oil Toothpaste Is Chemical-Free

Products these days are overloaded with harmful chemicals. But, coconut oil is the healthiest substitute. Homemade coconut oil toothpaste can fight off bacteria without leaving any side effect.

3. Useful For Gum Massage

We usually take care of our teeth but often ignore gum health. However, a gum massage with coconut oil can show exemplary results in removing plaque and keeping them healthy.

4. Oil Pulling With Coconut Oil

Oil pulling is a very effective treatment for your teeth. Like a mouthwash, use coconut oil to rinse every corner of your mouth and this will not only maintain your dental health but also prevent bad breath.

5. No Presence of Foaming Agents

Another benefit of using coconut oil for teeth is the absence of artificial foaming agents that can damage your taste buds in the long run. Coconut oil for teeth maintains your taste sense after brushing by forming a natural lipid balance on the tongue.
