Hingwastak Churna: Uses, Dosage And Side Effects

    Herbal powders in Ayurveda make for potent healers of the digestive system. One such is known as Hingwastak Churna, which is a popular remedy for indigestion. It contains ingredients like asafoetida (hing), black pepper, ginger, black salt, as well as ghee. So here are the benefits, dosage and side effects of this medicine.

    Hingwastak Churna Benefits

    • It increases Pitta, thus stimulating the digestive fire (agni) and improving digestive processes.
    • It is highly beneficial for rheumatoid arthritis.
    • Improves anorexia.
    • Hingwastak Churna heals conditions arising from Vata imbalance, like chronic constipation.
    • It reduces Kapha, thus tackling conditions arising from Kapha aggravation.

    Dosage

    This medicine is typically taken along with meals, mixed with ghee. The dosage is usually twice a day.

    Possible Side Effects

    Patients might experience stomach irritation as well as increased heat in the body.
