  • 5 Natural Remedies For Stretch Marks
  • 1. Sugar
  • 2. Almond Oil
  • 3. Castor Oil
  • 4. Lemon Juice
  • 5. Aloe Vera

One can usually find stretch marks on hips, thighs, the stomach, breasts, and arms. During things like growth, weight gain and pregnancy, the skin stretches. This sometimes damages the tissues, leading to stretch scars. This is more common in women than men. Genetics has a lot to do with it too. While they aren’t a threat to health, stretch marks might be a bother to you. But worry not, there are plenty of ways to get rid of those marks. All you need is some natural ingredients and a bit of patience. Here are 5 natural remedies for stretch marks you might want to try.

5 Natural Remedies For Stretch Marks

1. Sugar

Yes, sugar can get rid of stretch marks! Sugar is often used in natural treatment for stretch marks. That’s because it is an excellent exfoliator, which means it can lighten scars well by getting rid of dead skin cells in the area. Here is how to use sugar granules to lighten stretch marks.

What to do:

Add ¼ cup coconut oil and freshly squeezed juice from half a lemon to 1 cup of sugar. Mix it well. Scrub your skin with it for around 10 minutes, and then wash it off.

2. Almond Oil

Almonds can help erase stretch marks too. Almonds are a very rich source of vitamin E. This nutrient has antioxidant properties, boosts skin repair, and also adds firmness. And it’s quite easy to use too.

What to do:

Simply massage your skin with warm almond oil twice a day.

Here are other noteworthy benefits of almond oil for skin and hair.

3. Castor Oil

Next on the list of remedies for stretch marks is castor oil. This oil supplies skin with much-needed moisture, which boosts healing and smoothens the skin. It takes time to work, but it does the job well. It also reduces signs of premature ageing such as wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots.

What to do:

Like with almond oil, simply warm up some castor oil and massage it onto your skin.

4. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is great for stretch marks on buttocks, hips, and elsewhere. It is highly acidic in nature. This has been found to be extremely useful in getting rid of marks as well as scars and blemishes. Lemon juice also contains loads of vitamin C, an anti-ageing vitamin.

What to do:

Slice up a lemon and squeeze the juice out. In circular motions, apply it onto the stretch marks. Wash off after around 10 minutes. After that, moisturise your skin well. If you notice irritation, don’t use lemon.

5. Aloe Vera

Wondering how to remove stretch marks on thighs? Aloe vera is a powerful Ayurvedic herb for skin care. It significantly boosts healing, hydrates the skin, and boosts tissue regeneration.

What to do:

Massage your skin in circular motions with fresh pure aloe vera gel. Wash it off with lukewarm water after half an hour.

Here are some more benefits of aloe vera.
