Apricot is a wonder food in all respects. It looks beautiful, tastes great, and there are tons of apricot health benefits. We know about the apricot fruit in its dried form. But Ayurveda recommends we eat it fresh, as it tends to lose much of its nutritional value during the drying process. These apricot uses for health as well as beauty are sure to delight you.

1. Apricot Benefits Digestive Health.

Apricot is rich in soluble fiber that ensures smooth digestive functioning. It aids the break down of fatty acids, improves the secretion of digestive juices, and cleanses the digestive tract. Apricot is also anti-inflammatory. So, eat apricots before meals and no need to worry about constipation, indigestion or any other digestive problems.

2. Apricots Are Good For Our Bones.

Don’t like drinking milk? Eat apricot. Being a source of calcium, potassium, vitamins C as well as D, and copper, apricot benefits our skeletal system a whole lot. It nourishes bones and prevents conditions like osteoporosis. Apricot is also known to be good for post menopausal women as it can prevent bone density loss.

3. Apricot Helps In Weight Loss.

Let us look at some apricot uses for beauty. Want glowing skin? Add 4 ounces apricot oil to 1 cup sugar granules. Mix well and use this as a scrub. It is a great exfoliant and gets rid of those nasty blackheads. Regular use discourages pigmentation too!

6. Apricot Benefits Damaged Hair.

Apricot hair oil contains vitamins A and E. Both are antioxidants that contribute a great deal to our hair health. Apricot oil cures embarrassing conditions like dandruff due to dry scalp and eczema. It stops the free radicals from damaging our hair and skin. Massage your scalp hair with apricot hair oil and your hair will grow healthier.
