Conversion disorder is a neurological condition that negatively affects your brain, spinal cord as well as nerves. Women are most likely to suffer from the disease, especially those with a history of depression. Stressful events trigger the disorder. And conversion disorder symptoms may include paralysis, convulsions, and blindness in severe cases. Therefore, Ayurveda prescribes antidepressant herbs to fight the emotional distress since it is the most effective conversion disorder treatment. One on one counseling as well as sharing personal feelings are essential.

What Are The Conversion Disorder Causes?

The exact causes are unknown. However, researchers explain that the conversion disorder is the way an individual deals with stress as well as emotional shock. It is the body’s response to a threat.

What Are The Conversion Disorder Symptoms?

  • Numbness or paralysis
  • Confusion
  • Poor coordination
  • Deafness or blindness
  • Seizures or convulsions
  • Weakness
  • Loss of touch as well as sensation
  • Urine retention

Conversion Disorder Treatment

1. Black Seed Oil Strengthens Body Muscles.

Conversion disorder brings weakness as well as numbness in the muscles, making movements difficult. However, black seed oil is rich in antioxidants to help build immunity and reduce pain. Therefore, apply the oil on the affected areas and massage twice daily.

2. Passion Flower Tea Reduces Anxiety.

Conversion disorder treatment includes antidepressants. Therefore, passionflower is beneficial. It helps calm anxiety as well as seizures, which are some of the common conversion disorder symptoms. Therefore, boil some passion flower tea leaves in a cup of water for 8 minutes. Strain and drink twice every day.

3. Fennel Seeds Improve Your Vision.

Fennel seeds are a boon for the eyes. They help improve sight and maintain overall eye health. Since the condition causes vision loss, this is is preventable with fennel. Therefore, grind a cup of fennel, almond, and sugar. Add one teaspoon of the powder in a glass of warm milk and drink daily for better results.

4. Treat Urine Retention With Licorice.

Indian licorice is known as a potent diuretic. It is anti-inflammatory as well as sedative in nature. Since urine retention is one of the major conversion disorder symptoms, crush dry licorice roots and add water to make a paste. Boil one teaspoon of the paste in a cup of water for 10 minutes. Strain and drink daily.

5. Ashwagandha Acts As A Brain Tonic.

What is a good conversion disorder treatment in Ayurveda? Ashwagandha. It’s a brain tonic that enhances brain functioning as well as memory power. So, take about 500 mg of ashwagandha powder with a tablespoon of clarified butter twice daily.
