Prickly heat is a very common summer ailment that can also raise its ugly head during winters. Excessive sweating during summers clogs your skin pores and causes painful rashes. So, on one side, you face the scorching heat. And on the other, you have to deal with the outbreaks that appear along the folds of your skin. But, these prickly heat home remedies certainly provide relief and prevent the symptoms.

Prickly Heat Home Remedies

1. Rose Water For Soothing Prickly Heat

Dab some organic rose water with the help of a cotton pad onto the affected area and repeat the same at least thrice daily. This will refresh your skin and naturally treat the condition.

2. Use Olive Oil For Overnight Prickly Heat Relief

This wonder oil is an overnight prickly heat treatment. Clean the skin and apply some extra virgin olive oil to the skin and leave overnight. It will condition the skin and leave a soothing effect!

3. Greek Yogurt Is A Miracle For Prickly Heat

This is a cooling remedy to combat the irritated skin and heal the rashes within a few days. Apply some greek yogurt directly to the affected area for about 15 minutes and wash off with room temperature water.

4. Epsom Salt For The Treatment Of Prickly Heat

This is among the best prickly heat home remedies that can easily help prevent the rashes and smoothen out your skin. In some warm water, add a cup of Epsom salt and soak the affected area with a soft cloth. Do this every alternate day to remove the dead skin and unclog your pores.

5. Ways To Prevent Prickly Heat? Use Cornstarch Powder!

Just like your regular talcum powder, make use of cornstarch to sprinkle on your rashes and let it show its magic. It will help absorb excess sweat and naturally prevent the pores from clogging.

6. Margosa (Neem) Leaves To Soothe Itching

Prickly heat comes accompanied with excessive itching, and the antibacterial properties of margosa leaves get rid of all the discomfort. Simply grind the leaves into a paste and apply over the rashes. You can also bathe in water that has been previously boiled with margosa leaves.

7. Sandalwood – The Ultimate Prickly Heat Treatment

Used as an effective herb for the treatment of prickly heat, sandalwood is an astringent, antiseptic and an anti-inflammatory remedy. Just mix some sandalwood powder in rosewater and apply on your skin for that refreshing effect and to also prevent the irritation.
