Losing consciousness and balance is a sign of a head concussion. A majority of athletes all over the world suffer from severe concussion symptoms as they injure their heads while playing. If a normal person is nauseating or feels confused, and clumsy, then he/ she could also have a brain concussion. Some people ignore the symptoms and develop serious disorders. But, concussion recovery is essential. Try these natural remedies for effective concussion treatment. A detailed brain test, later on, is also necessary.

What Causes Concussion?

A concussion is a mild brain injury that results from trauma or a hit on the head. People who get their heads injured in accidents suffer from a brain concussion. The brain bounces inside the skull causing bruising and in some cases, bleeding. Such an injury can be fatal for life. Individuals who use drugs and alcohol may also observe severe concussion symptoms.

  • Ringing in ears
  • Confusion or brain fog
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Fatigue
  • Delayed response to stimuli
  • Mood swings
  • Sensitivity to noise and light

  • Slurred speech

  • Clumsiness

Concussion Treatment

1. Turmeric Is Antioxidative.

Turmeric has an active compound called curcumin. It displays anti-inflammatory as well as antioxidative properties. Therefore, you can use turmeric powder to treat a severe concussion. Add half a teaspoon of turmeric in hot water. Sip slowly during a head concussion.

2. Flaxseeds Contain Omega-3 Fatty Acids.

For concussion treatment, omega 3 fatty acids prove to be miraculous. They accelerate the healing process and cure concussion symptoms. This, take a teaspoon of flaxseeds and munch on them properly. Swallow with a glass of water for better results.

3. Coffee Treats Head Concussion.

Debates on the effects of caffeine on health are still unresolved. However, several types of research state how coffee benefits in conditions caused by brain concussion such as mood swings, sleeplessness, and unconsciousness. So, pour 250ml of hot water on a teaspoon of coffee powder. Stir and add milk if it suits you. Drink early in the day but not on an empty stomach.

4. Brahmi Is Great For Concussion Recovery.

Brahmi is known as a brain tonic. The herb possesses neuroprotective characteristics which prevent the head concussion chills. So, consume 250mg of Brahmi powder with a teaspoon of clarified butter (ghee) or honey twice a day for quick concussion recovery.

5. Ginger Tea Reduces Concussion Symptoms.

Since ginger is a natural laxative, it reduces concussion symptoms like nausea as well as vomiting. So, boil a teaspoon of crushed ginger in a cup of water. Steep the tea for about 10 minutes. Strain and drink warm.
