Beetroots are packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals. They are great for blood circulation, reducing inflammation, energising the body, and cleansing it. And it’s no surprise that this delicious red veggie is fantastic for your skin too. Beets have traditionally served beauty purposes for thousands of years – their gorgeous red pigment makes them a gorgeous lipstick. We’ll tell you about the benefits you can reap when you use beetroot juice for skin.

Benefits Of Using Beetroot Juice For Skin

1. It Makes Your Skin Look Younger.

Did you know that this food fights the signs of premature ageing? Beetroots have been found to reduce wrinkles, droopy skin, and fine lines. They have plenty of vitamin C – an important antioxidant that boosts the elasticity of skin and fights ageing. It also reduces free radical damage. You can either drink beetroot juice 3-4 times a week, or apply it topically by mixing it with milk and rinsing it off the next morning.

2. It Makes Acne Fade Away.

One of the popular benefits of beetroot juice for skin is that it can get rid of acne. That’s because it has detoxifying and inflammation reducing effects in the body. Just drink beetroot juice everyday, and you may see the difference in just a matter of weeks. When applied topically, beetroot has been found to reduce oiliness and therefore eliminate acne arising from it. Just put half a beetroot into your blender and apply the juice directly on your skin, and those pesky pimples should be gone soon.

3. It Brings A Healthy Glow To Your Skin.

When your body is healthy from within, it shows on your skin. One of the prime benefits of beetroot and carrot juice is its ability to nourish your body, promote detoxification, purify your blood, and ta da – you end up with gorgeous glowing skin! Just chop half a beetroot and one carrot and give them a good blend. Drink the juice fresh in the morning 3-4 times a week. You could also include these fruits for glowing skin in your diet.

4. It Lightens Dark Circles.

Have you ended up with dark circles under your eyes? They can seem hard to get rid of. But beetroot juice might just be your perfect solution. When applied onto the skin, it has been found to significantly lighten dark patches as well as scars and blemishes. It also supplies the skin with nutrients, which gets rid of dullness. Slice quarter of a beetroot and add it to your blender. Pour in quarter cup milk and turn on the blender. Apply the juice onto your dark circles and wash off after about 15 minutes. You can do this twice a day for 2 weeks.

5. It Moisturises Skin.

With winter arriving soon, skin experts recommend already getting started with your skin care routine – because dryness is much easier to tackle when you treat it before it fully develops. It keeps your skin prepared for the cold weather’s harsh effects, and you’re likely to experience minimal effects. Use beetroot juice for skin that needs moisture by mixing it with milk and honey. Apply it to your skin about 30 minutes before you bathe everyday.
