If you have always wanted to switch to green tea but haven’t found the motivation to do so, this article is a must-read! Here, we talk about the benefits of green tea for weight loss, as well as your skin and hair. Health experts in traditional Chinese medicine as well as Ayurveda have long known about the incredible benefits of green tea. It’s time that you started to reap these benefits too.

Benefits Of Green Tea

1. Green Tea for Weight Loss

Millions of people across the world wonder how to lose weight fast. Well, the truth is that weight loss takes some patience as well as effort. A sure-shot way to lose weight is by including the right weight loss foods in your diet. One food that offers great support is green tea. It contains caffeine and powerful antioxidants that together work to help you lose extra fat. They do this by boosting the hormones that cause fat burning. Moreover, green tea can also suppress your appetite and might speed up metabolism. Include green tea in your overall weight loss diet plan.

2. Green Tea For Hair

There are many beauty uses of green tea. This drink is packed with antioxidants that improve hair health. Green tea can treat dandruff, promote better hair growth, prevent premature greying, and also improve the texture of your hair. An easy way to use it is to simply look for a herbal shampoo containing green tea – there are plenty of them out there. Or, you could try this for maintaining and improving hair health: Brew some green tea and just pour it into your hair. Rinse it off after 10-15 minutes. Drinking green tea also has positive effects on your hair.

3. Green Tea for Skin

There are some great green tea beauty benefits you can reap.

Premature Ageing:

One is that it works excellently to fight premature ageing. It can reduce the appearance of age spots, wrinkles, sagging, and fine lines. Add 3-4 drops of water to a tsp of matcha green tea to form a smooth paste. Massage it well onto your skin and once dry, rinse it with lukewarm water. If it’s too drying for your skin, just mix in some coconut oil.

Puffy Eyes And Dark Circles:

Since it has astringent, lightening and antioxidant effects, green tea makes for an excellent remedy for dark circles as well as puffiness. It has a very soothing effect. All you need to do is use 2 green tea bags and cool them in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. Then, place them over your eyes for 15 minutes.

Acne:

Another impressive green tea benefit is for acne. It gets rid of the bacteria, inflammation as well as greasiness that cause acne. To treat acne with green tea, add ¼ cup brewed green tea to the same quantity of water. Stir well and then massage it onto your face with cotton. Rinse off after about 15 minutes.
