Being a compulsive disorder, the triggers of binge eating disorder are genetics, negative self-image, societal pressure, and stress. The disorder is simply a coping mechanism towards the causes of binge eating. But, what is binge eating treatment to prevent the symptoms? A Kapha dosha balance.

  • Depression, stress or anxiety
  • Substance abuse

How To Stop Binge Eating?

1. Feel Lighter With Chamomile Tea.

The amazing chamomile tea helps reduce stress. The herb also assists in flushing out harmful toxins from your body, along with easing the urge to eat.  Therefore, in a cup of boiling water, add a teaspoon of chamomile. Steep the tea for 5 minutes, strain, and drink twice a day.

2. Reduce Swelling With Turmeric.

Binge eating disorder often causes vomiting which makes the salivary glands swell. So, how to stop binge eating? Try turmeric. It’s a healing spice that lowers the swelling. So, add half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of warm water. Gargle twice daily.

3. Try Warm Baths.

Stress as well as depression are common binge eating disorder symptoms. Therefore, add 4-5 drops of lavender or sandalwood essential oil to a tub of warm water. Soak and bathe in the water to relieve stress.

4. Balance The Doshas With Indian Gooseberry.

Indian gooseberry or amla is tridoshic, which means it helps pacify all the three doshas. Therefore, mix a teaspoon of dried amla powder in one cup of water. Drink it twice daily to treat the binge eating disorder symptoms.

5. Prevent Digestive Issues With Fennel Decoction.

How to stop binge eating? Fennel seeds are beneficial. Since they are carminative in nature, they help relieve flatulence and restore digestive health. Therefore, soak some fennel seeds in a cup of water overnight. Strain the water and drink regularly in the morning.
