As the name suggests, clove oil comes from clove buds. The strong, distinct fragrance of the spice comes from its eugenol oil content. Thanks to eugenol, there are many clove oil benefits. The oil is a highly valued ingredient in Ayurveda as well as other folk medicine traditions. 1. Clove Oil Improves Your Sex Life

Ayurvedic experts have long recommended using clove oil to treat low libido. This spice is a fine aphrodisiac. A common remedy is adding 2 drops of clove oil to a glass of warm water, and then drinking it.

4. Clove Oil As An Acne Remedy

Next up, clove oil can also get rid of acne. It has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant effects, which help achieve trouble-free skin. Here’s a remedy: add 2-3 drops of clove oil to 2 tbsp of honey. Apply onto your skin and wash off after it dries. You could also try these acne remedies.

5. Clove Oil Fights Infection, Bites And Injuries

That’s right, this Ayurvedic ingredient also treats infections like athlete’s foot, wounds and bruises, and insect bites. That’s because it has powerful antiseptic properties and increases blood flow, which enables you to heal faster. But remember to always use it after consulting a doctor.

6. Clove Oil For Dental Health

You can also take cloves for toothache, since they reduce pain as well as inflammation. Pouring a few drops of the oil onto an aching tooth can reduce the pain. Clove oil even makes for an excellent solution for bad breath, sore gums, and mouth ulcers.

7. Clove Oil Improves Skin Health

Clove essential oil is great for all-round skin health. It can heal rashes, prickly heat, blemishes, acne, irritation, and even warts. Moreover, clove oil can reduce signs of premature ageing like sagging, age spots, and wrinkles.
