Every time you pick a new healthy food to include in your diet, it does something good to your body. However, certain foods are more powerful to keep you protected against several bodily ailments – superfoods that fight inflammation. Here are 8 of the best anti-inflammatory foods that act as natural painkillers to provide you with quick relief.

Foods That Are Natural Painkillers

1. Garlic For Earache

This flavorful culinary herb has been used for centuries to cure earaches and infections. Crush two-three garlic cloves and let them steep in some olive oil until the garlic juice gets fully dissolved. Pour a few drops in your ear every day and this will heal any infection and also alleviate the pain.

2. Clove For Toothache

Simply rinse your mouth with warm salt water and apply a dash of powdered clove to your teeth and gums. As your saliva gets mixed with clove powder, it will gently start to take away the pain and provide you with instant relief. Cloves are natural painkillers that can even undo the pain of root canals.

3. Turmeric For Back Pain

Curcumin, a major active ingredient in turmeric helps block the inflammatory passages in your body that cause pain and swelling. So, turmeric is beneficial even for chronic pains. You can either include the spice in your daily meals, or simply drink turmeric milk every night.

4. Food For Sore Muscles: Peppermint

Having analgesic, anti-spasmodic, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, peppermint or its oil can soothe your muscles and prevent cramps. Peppermint oil can reduce the soreness in your muscles and relieve the discomforts.

5. Foods For Joints: Cherries, They Even Help Fight Arthritis Pain!

With their aspirin-like effect, cherries help reduce both joint and muscle pain. So, eating around 10 to 15 cherries daily can protect you against any such inflammation that causes joint pain and also prevent its recurrence.

6. Horseradish For Sinus Pain

Being high in sulphur, horseradish makes the best natural painkillers that create an antibiotic effect to treat the symptoms of sinus. Hold some horseradish in your mouth till its flavor starts to dissipate and it will help remove the nasal mucus.

7. Blueberries For Urinary Tract Infections and Pains

One simple remedy for UTIs is having blueberries or cranberries. This helps get rid of the excruciating discomforts and acts as natural painkillers. Both are capable of fighting off the infectious bacteria that clings to the bladder and urinary tract cell lining.

8. Pineapple For Stomach Ache

When you have an upset stomach, the bromelain enzyme present in pineapple helps combat stomach ache, bloating, gas, constipation, nausea, and diarrhea. Pineapple is an effective food and amongst the best natural painkillers to enhance your digestion and alleviate problems like heartburn.
