Invasive Ductal Carcinoma In Situ: Treatment For DCIS Breast Cancer

Have you started feeling a lump in your breasts? Does your family have a history of breast cancer? If the answer to these questions is positive, then you should read about Invasive Ductal Carcinoma or the Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS). It is a type of cancer that grows in the milk glands of a woman and gradually spreads throughout the breasts. Ductal Carcinoma In Situ or DCIS breast cancer symptoms appear at a much later stage. The treatment for invasive breast cancer is through breast removal as well as chemotherapy. However, some Ayurvedic remedies may support in curbing the side effects of the medical treatment.

What Is Invasive Ductal Carcinoma?

Invasive ductal carcinoma in situ is a breast cancer formed in the ducts of the breasts that supply milk to the nipples. The word invasive refers to the spread of cancer in the surrounding breast tissues. There are two types of breast cancer –

  • Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC)
  • Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (ILC)

What Are The Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Symptoms?

  • Lumps in the breast
  • Swelling in all or parts of the breast
  • Pain in the nipple
  • Nipple turning inwards
  • Discharge from the nipple
  • Lump in the underarm area
  • Breast pain
  • Redness, scaliness as well as thickening of breast skin

Ductal Carcinoma Treatment

1. Goldenseal Is An Age Old Cancer Remedy.

People have been using goldenseal for treating cancer for ages. The herb was supplemented with licorice. It is an antiviral herb that even treats STDs like gonorrhea. Therefore, boil 1 gram of dry goldenseal root in a cup of water. Steep it for about 10 minutes and drink thrice every day for better results.

2. Saw Palmetto Tea Is A Boon For DCIS Breast Cancer.

Studies have suggested that saw palmetto possesses anticancer properties. It has been found to heal prostate cancer. Therefore, boil a teaspoon of saw palmetto in a cup of water. Steep the tea for 10 minutes. Strain and drink twice every day for better results.

3. Feverfew Kills Cancer Cells.

Feverfew is a potent anti-cancerous herb. The compound named parthenolide contains anti-inflammatory effects. Therefore, the herb is useful in treating invasive ductal carcinoma in situ or the DCIS breast cancer. So, take 250mg of feverfew powder twice every day for better results.

4. Aloe Vera Soothes Inflammation.

Aloe vera is a soothing agent. It reduces swelling as well as redness that result from ductal carcinoma in situ. Therefore, apply aloe vera oil on the affected breast to heal inflammation as well as prevent the growth of cancer cells.

5. Turmeric Is Anti Cancerous.

Carcinoma in situ and invasive ductal carcinoma are caused by cancer cells that can be killed with turmeric. Turmeric contains antioxidants which kill cancer cells. Add a cup of turmeric in water to make a paste. Store in cool place. Boil a teaspoon of the paste in a glass of milk. Consume every day.
