Is rice milk good for you? Ayurveda reveres rice, because it nourishes Ojas and encourages Sattva. Being sweet in taste and cooling in nature, it increases Kapha but keeps down Pitta and Vata. Rice milk is an excellent option for vegans and those who are lactose intolerant. It can be used pretty much like dairy milk – in tea, coffee, puddings, smoothies, and your breakfast cereal. Check out these delightful rice milk benefits…

Is Rice Milk Good For You?

1. It Is Heart Friendly.

Rice milk is prepared purely from rice bran and carries along all those essential nutrients present in the whole grain. Nutrients like niacin and Vitamin B6 can lower blood cholesterol levels. The presence of iron and copper raise up the production of red blood cells, while magnesium regulates blood pressure levels. Moreover, there is no cholesterol in this milk, making it a great food for those with atherosclerosis. All these are the rice milk benefits for our heart.

2. It Is Effective Against Stomach Disorders.

If you are suffering from any stomach problems like indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, or gastroenteritis, don’t worry. You can safely use rice milk. It will not aggravate your condition, but will cool your stomach and give you energy with the rich presence of carbohydrates.

3. It Is Hypoallergenic.

Though most of us like milk, but some are allergic to dairy. If you are one of those who are intolerant to dairy as well as nuts, rice milk is an excellent option. No nuts, animal products and dairy free. Add it to your cereals, desserts, smoothies, or enjoy a glass with some natural sweeteners like date syrup or honey.

4. It Is A Good Antioxidant.

You may want to know how else is rice milk good for you?  Well, it can keep you in good health all year round. It is high in selenium and manganese. So if you drink a glass of it everyday, the powerful antioxidants will protect you from those harmful viral infection-causing germs and illnesses. It helps fight inflammation and oxidative stress that can cause serious diseases.

5. It Is Good For Your Skin.

This is one of the rice milk benefits that will definitely delight you. If you are looking for a safe and natural way to keep your skin soft, smooth and blemish-free, make a paste of rice milk with honey and chickpeas. Apply it on your face as a pack, or use it as a body scrub. Add a little turmeric if you want to lighten scars, spots, and sunburns. Rinse first with warm water followed by cold water. Look into the mirror and see a radiant face look back at you.

So, here you have some rice milk benefits you may have not known. Experience the world of difference it makes to your health and beauty!
