Arsenic is a metalloid found in the surface of the Earth. It may spread its effect to other entities like plants, air as well as the water bodies. However, arsenic in food and drinking water may lead to severe arsenic poisoning (arsenic toxicity) in the body. Symptoms include drowsiness, headache, confusion, and diarrhea. A prolonged consumption can cause chronic illnesses. So, one major point to note here is that touching contaminated objects may not be dangerous unless otherwise ingested.

Arsenic poisoning badly affects your skin, liver, lungs, and kidney health. It may even lead to convulsion, seizures, shock, coma, and ultimately death. This is why arsenic is considered to be the king of poisons. Therefore, seek treatment as soon as the symptoms are visible.

What Are The Arsenic Poisoning Causes?

  • Contaminated groundwater
  • Breathing air with arsenic content
  • Smoking tobacco
  • Living near the industrial areas
  • Exposure to landfill or wastelands
  • Arsenic in food

What Are The Arsenic Poisoning Symptoms?

  • Taste of metal in mouth
  • Excess saliva production
  • Bloody urine
  • Loss of hair
  • Excess sweating
  • Vomiting and nausea
  • Garlic-like smell from the mouth
  • Convulsion
  • Muscle cramps
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Headache and confusion
  • Diarrhea
  • Red swollen skin with warts and Lesion eruptions
  • Tingling of fingers and toes

Arsenic Poisoning Treatment

1. Detox With Fried Chinese Licorice Roots.

Arsenic in food causes stomach problems like diarrhea as well as vomiting. Licorice, however, helps release toxins from the body. So, rinse the licorice roots in warm water. Heat some olive oil in a pan, fry the roots and have them as it is. Cooked roots are known to benefit more than the raw ones.

2. Heal Arsenic Poisoning With Indigo Infusion.

Wild indigo contains alkaloids which have medicinal properties. It helps treat cold, cough, flu as well as throat infections. Difficulty in swallowing is one of the major arsenic poisoning symptoms. So, boil a teaspoon of dried indigo roots in one cup water. Simmer for about 10 minutes and drink it thrice daily to get rid of arsenic toxicity.

3. Try Mugwort For Muscle Spasms & Cramps.

Mugwort is known to relieve muscle cramps as well as the associated pains. Therefore, apply some mugwort essential oil on the affected areas to lower the discomforts.

4. Ashwagandha Helps Increase Energy.

Ashwagandha is a brain tonic. It increases your energy levels and removes confusion which is amongst the primary arsenic poisoning symptoms. Therefore, take 500mg of ashwagandha root powder twice every day for better results.

5. Raspberry Tea Helps Control Diarrhea.

Raspberry tea benefits the body by curing diarrhea as well as constipation. Since it is anti-inflammatory in nature, ashwagandha helps relieve nausea. So, boil one teaspoon of raspberry tea leaves in a cup of water. Steep the tea for 10 minutes and then strain. Drink twice daily to rid arsenic toxicity.
