  • 5 Ayurvedic Herbs For Higher Energy And Better Moods
  • 1. Triphala
  • 2. Ashwagandha
  • 3. Licorice
  • 4. Eucalyptus
  • 5. Amalaki

It’s a no-brainer that when you have high energy levels and experience more positive moods, your sex life improves. But this isn’t always the case. A busy life as well as other factors like weakness, environmental pollution, and stress can drain the body and mind. So every now and then, we all need a boost. Luckily, there are plenty of Ayurvedic herbs that boost energy and give your mood a pleasant lift. This can work wonders for your sex life. Here are 5 of them.

5 Ayurvedic Herbs For Higher Energy And Better Moods

1. Triphala

Well, Triphala is technically a formulation of 3 herbs: amla, haritaki, and bibhitaki. But it deserves a place on every list of herbs for health. In Ayurveda, it is considered to have a balancing effect on all the three doshas. In other words, it helps bring complete balance of the 5 elements (space, air, fire, water, and earth) in the body and mind. Triphala eliminates the effects of stress and fatigue, promotes detoxifications, and refreshes the body.

You can take triphala as a powder with warm water and honey.

2. Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is also called Withania somnifera, winter cherry, and Indian ginseng. This is one of the most important herbs in Ayurveda, known to have an entirely rejuvenating effect on the body and mind. It improves a number of things that are important for healthy energy levels. It helps you sleep better and stress less, fights inflammation, increases immunity, and goes a long way in boosting strength as well as stamina. Ashwagandha is an excellent aphrodisiac and balances hormones in men as well as women – making it one of the best mood enhancing herbs.

Ashwagandha is generally taken with warm milk.

3. Licorice

Licorice is among the best Ayurvedic herbs for adrenal fatigue. Your adrenaline glands are adversely affected when you stress too much. That’s because they are responsible for the production of cortisol, known as the stress hormone. When you have adrenal fatigue, your cortisol levels drop, which makes you feel tired and grumpy. Licorice has been found to increase the levels of cortisol in the body – enabling you to face stressful situations with better energy levels.

You can take licorice tablets at morning for high energy levels.

4. Eucalyptus

Feeling low after a hard week at work? Give yourself some mood lifting aromatherapy with eucalyptus essential oil. This herb has been used for a long time for its distinct and refreshing scent. Eucalyptus oil not only enhances the mood, but it relieves pain and cold symptoms like headaches and fatigue. It gives your immunity a boost and also works as an excellent chest decongestant.

You can add 2-3 drops to a warm bath, put a bit into your diffuser, or simply sprinkle 2 drops on your pillow.

5. Amalaki

Also called Indian gooseberry, amalaki classifies as a ‘rasayana’ in Ayurveda. This means that it rejuvenates the body, removes weakness, and boosts strength as well as energy. Ayurvedic doctors often prescribe amalaki to promote detoxification in the body. Studies link lack of Vitamin C to lower energy levels. Well, the amalaki fruit boasts of more vitamin C than oranges! It helps meet your daily recommended amounts of this vitamin, ensuring better immunity and higher stamina.

Eat the fruit whole, or enjoy an amla powder drink everyday!
