An important part of yoga is the process of breathing the right way. Kapalbhati pranayam is a set of breathing techniques. Kapal means forehead and bhati mean shine. So, kapalbhati means a shining forehead. This practice has gained immense popularity since yoga guru Baba Ramdev introduced its benefits to the public. Today, we’ll talk to you about the various kapalbhati pranayam benefits, as well as how to do it.

How To Do Kapalbhati?

Here is the correct way of doing Kapalbhati just like Baba Ramdev:

Sit comfortably with crossed legs. Keep your palms on the knees as well as focus on the belly area of your body. Slowly take a deep breath filling both your lungs. And exhale the same way. When you release your breath a hissing sound will be made.

Feel the pressure in your stomach. Be consistent and not too quick or too slow. Concentrate on moving your stomach muscles and getting the breathing technique right. Retain a medium speed and a medium pause. Be at peace with yourself and your surroundings.

Repeat the kapabhati pranayama steps for about 20 times (one set) and relax with your eyes closed before you go for another set.

Kapalbhati Pranayam Benefits

1. Removes Toxins

This kapabhati pranayama benefits in removing your body’s toxins. It also provides relief from constipation as well as other digestive disorders.

2. Weight Loss

Advantages of kapalbhati have been immense for people suffering from obesity. But, yoga alone cannot do all the miracles. One must follow a healthy diet and an organized lifestyle.

3. Blood Circulation

Kapalbhati improves the blood circulation in your body. Because if there is an imbalance, you can develop several diseases.

4. Strengthens Immune System

It protects you from catching a cold, cough and fever. When the immune system is weak, your body becomes vulnerable to multiple virus as well as bacteria in the environment. However, if the immune system is strengthened, the antibodies can combat those viruses easily.

5. Periods Related Issues

Kapalbhati helps cure menstruation-related issues. Women suffering from irregular or painful periods should practice Kapalbhati pranayama since it’s much better than taking medications and experiencing unwanted side effects.

6. Lowers Acidity

Nowadays, people of all ages are suffering from the problem of acidity. So, in conclusion, a daily session of kapalbhati helps release acidity along with stomach burn as well as other symptoms
