What Are Rose Hips?

Rose hips are edible fruits of the rose plant that are high in Vitamin C. Other names include Dog rose fruit, hop fruit, hip fruit, and brier hip. Rosa gallica and rosa canina are two of its major varieties. 

Rose Hips Uses

Rose hips uses vary according to the form you choose. It is available in tea, tincture, capsule, oil and powder form.

Rose Hips Tea – Boil a cup of water and add a teaspoon of dried rose hips powder. Steep the tea for 5-10 minutes. Strain and drink warm.

Rose Hip Oil – Take 2-3 drops of rose hips oil and gently massage your face with it. Rose hips oil benefits by reversing the signs of aging. You can also use this oil for arthritis pain.

The recommended dosage of rose hips is 5 to 10 grams per day. Take it after meals and avoid it on an empty stomach. Note that higher doses can cause intestinal distress.

3. Reap The Rose Hip Uses For Anti-Aging.

Rose hips benefit your skin since they’re rich in antioxidants as well as anti-inflammatory properties. They also help reduce wrinkles, increase skin elasticity, and lock the skin’s moisture.

4. Rose Hips Benefits By Killing Cancer Cells.

Studies show that rose hips oil benefits by killing two enzymes – MAPK and AKT. These promote breast cancer cell growth in critical circumstances. Rose hips are antioxidant, and can therefore kill the free radicals that cause cancer.

5. Rose Hips Tea Benefits In Weight Loss.

Rose hips tea benefits obese people. It reduces overall fat and body weight. So, if you are someone who wants to get rid of those extra kilos, then drink rose hips tea every day.
