It affects your iodine assimilation and therefore leads to the gland’s enlargement. It is said that there are almond milk benefits but side effects too are a part of it. 6. Almond Milk Side Effects Include Swelling On The Face.

Even though it’s a healthy alternative, almond milk can still cause some severe reactions, especially in your facial area. The effects can, however, range from mild to severe but swelling is seen as a common phenomenon. If you are suffering from nut allergies, make sure that you drink the milk in a limited quantity that too under supervision.

7. Commercially Produced Almond Milk Is Harmful

To achieve a cream-like consistency, commercially manufactured almond milk packages come with carrageenan. In the form of a food, carrageenan is harmless – but when mixed with other products, it thickens the drink while compromising on the safety factor.
