Being among the best cardio-friendly foods, artichoke nutrition works for the betterment of your heart. It has zero fats as well as calories. This helps regulate your cholesterol and blood pressure levels.

Since the artichoke vegetable is a high fiber food, it’s an ideal vegetable for better digestion. It regulates the secretion of bile juice, lowers the blood sugar levels, and improves appetite.

3. It Boosts Liver Functioning.

Being a potent antioxidant, artichokes help cleanse your body and expel harmful toxins. Artichokes enhance the functioning of your liver.

How To Cook Artichokes?

So, how to cook artichokes perfectly? Artichoke recipes are easy. Here’s a basic one – cut off the thorny edges/leaves along with the base and the stem. Properly rinse it under running water. Place the artichoke vegetable in a pan filled with salt water. Add some lemon juice along with the choicest herbs or spices, cover it with a lid and let it cook for about 30 minutes.

Now, take the vegetable out of the pan and allow it to cool. First, pluck the leaves, dip them in some ghee and scrape off the flesh for a delightful bite. Then, reach the real treat – the artichoke heart. Scoop out the choke and leave the fuzzy outer skin. Enjoy the choke heart with your favorite dip.
