Have you ever witnessed or heard about how babies and toddlers keep trembling but their mothers feel that the kids are afraid of the bath routine or how elderly people sometimes become a victim of paralysis, brain hemorrhage or a heart attack that too while bathing? Or . If yes, then you should also know that fear or the old age isn’t the case and in fact, it’s all about the right & wrong ways of taking your bath and fixing your bathing technique can help overcome the trauma.

    Bathing technique- Scientific Analysis

Due to the constant flow of blood in our bodies there is hidden electric current (like the one that generates because of woollen clothes) which flows from top (head) to bottom (feet). And there also are minute blood vessels in the head that help transport your blood to the brain.

When you pour cold water directly on the head, it causes the head to cool drastically. Gradually the veins in your head start to contract. And due to this, the blood circulation from your heart begins to happen at a much faster rate. Therefore when the body just cannot tolerate the above events, years later, bathing elderly in the wrong way causes the condition of vein rupture or heart attacks.

Similarly, the whole system of a baby starts to react immediately to the cold water. He/ she quivers and hence the body heat gets generated. Some mothers aren’t aware of how to bathe a baby along with the facts about baby bath temperature and consider the child’s quivering as his/ her fear. But actually, the wrong way of bathing increases the heart rate profoundly and kids start to shiver.

    How to take bath properly.

It may look like a demonstration of your bath time but it’s not. We are just trying to guide you for having a perfect bath time and avoid any sort of accidents in the long term. Once you understand the essence of following the right way of bathing you will surely feel the difference.

    How to take bath?

Here are the steps to take a bath.

    • Begin by comfortably sitting on a supportive chair or stand in the bathroom.
    • Firstly pour water on your toes and feet.
    • Gently rub your feet and then start to pour water on your calves, your knees, the thighs and lightly keep massaging with your hands.
    • Now that your body temperature starts to adjust with the cold water take some water in your hands and rub it on your belly.
    • Move on to your shoulders, then splash it on your face and gently massage the water on your head.

It is only after following the above guidance that you should actually start with washing your body and carry on with your bath routine. The process takes only about a minute. And helps you save your life by naturally flowing the electric currents of your body from top to bottom. This happens because the water has been first put on your feet.

Following the right bathing technique would prevent your toddler from shivering and help prevent any accidents while bathing. And it also helps you keep your body protected from cold and flu.
