Even though people tend to have love-hate relationships with their hair, no one finds it easy to lose their precious locks. But not to worry, we’ll show you how to reduce hair fall naturally. The first step is finding out the cause and then to use remedies such as these.

How To Reduce Hair Fall Naturally

1. Massage Your Scalp

Head massages go a long way in increasing the necessary blood circulation, strengthening follicles, nourishing your scalp, reducing dandruff, as well as restoring texture and thickness. Here are 3 massages to choose from.

Massage 1: Indian Gooseberry Oil (Amla)

This precious fruit has truckloads of vitamin C, and it nourishes the skin while reducing damage. It’s widely used in Ayurvedic treatment of hair fall. Get yourself a bottle of pure amla oil, warm it up, and massage your scalp with it, and wash it out with mild shampoo. Do this twice a week.

Massage 2: Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is one of the most versatile Ayurvedic oils. With its fatty acids and antioxidants, it works wonders for fixing damage to your hair and scalp, and can stop your hair from shedding any more. Warm it up and massage it well onto your scalp. Wash off the next morning. Do it twice a week.

2. Enrich Your Diet

Take a closer look and find out if your diet consists of sufficient vitamins and minerals. If not, there’s the likely root cause. Follow these diet for hair loss tips:

  • Get enough of vitamin A from foods like carrots, kale, and spinach.
  • Increase your vitamin C levels from kiwis, oranges, and lemon.
  • Include iron rich foods like beetroot and spinach.
  • Eat plenty of protein rich food like beans, legumes, amaranth, and milk.
  • Maintain healthy amounts of zinc with fortified cereals and oatmeal.
  • Load up on food high in Omega-3 fatty acids like flaxseeds and coconut.
  • In general, eat a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid processed, stale, excessively pungent, and sugar packed food. Also steer clear from carbonated, alcoholic, caffeinated beverages.

3. Balance Your Hormones

Hormones are another common cause of hair fall. Excess estrogen, higher insulin resistance,  causes sudden hair loss, rise in testosterone, as well as low thyroid levels can cause or aggravate hair loss.   • Chasteberry
  • Shatavari
