Bumps that result from clogged skin pores, blackheads are a life-long struggle for many. While they are generally more commonly found in skin with larger pores and higher oil content, anyone can develop this problem. Squeezing and pills can worsen the condition. But, using natural ingredients can free you from it – along with tackling other issues too, like dullness and acne! Here’s how to remove blackheads with Ayurvedic remedies.

How To Remove Blackheads

1. Lemon Juice And Cinnamon Blackheads Remover

Both lemon juice and cinnamon are excellent skin care ingredients. They help get rid of not only blackheads, but also acne, dark spots, as well as dullness. Simply follow this recipe: Mix 2 tbsp of lemon juice with 2 tbsp of cinnamon powder. Adding honey and a bit of water, form a paste. Apply this onto the affected area and rinse off after around 20 minutes.

2. Fenugreek, An Excellent Skin Healer

Fenugreek (methi) is a valued Ayurvedic ingredient that has a host of health benefits. It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-acne effects on the skin. How to remove blackheads with fenugreek? Grind a cup of methi leaves and form a paste by adding water. Just apply this to your skin and then, rinse it off after about 20 minutes. Moisturise your skin after that.

3. Green Tea For Clear, Glowing Skin

Green tea is excellent for blackhead removal at home. Having astringent properties, it causes the skin’s pores to shrink. This antioxidant packed remedy also has a wonderful cleansing effect, which helps your skin glow. And it’s super simple to us: Form a paste by crushing a tsp of green tea leaves (dried) and mixing it with water. Massage it onto the affected area and just rinse it off after about 15 minutes.

4. Honey, An Ancient Beauty Elixir

Next on the list of home remedies for blackheads is honey, a beauty ingredient humans have used for thousands of years. It nourishes and moisturises the skin, as well as frees it from harmful bacteria. This recipe provides you with the required exfoliation to get rid of those pesky blackheads. Mix a tbsp each of raw honey, sugar, and lemon juice. Rub it onto your skin and wash off after 15 minutes.

5. Yogurt, Lemon Juice And Salt Skin Cleanser

Yogurt, salt, and lemon juice are sure to wipe away the blackheads on your face. Together, they remove dead cells, unclog and tighten pores, cleanse your skin, and also get rid of dark spots. So, here’s how to use them together. Add ½ tbsp salt to 1 tbsp each of lemon juice and yogurt. Mix well to form a paste and massage it onto your face. Wash off after about 15 minutes.
