    Khadirarishta is an all-in-one solution for most of your skin problems. It’s a formulation particularly beneficial for blood, skin, as well as intestinal disorders. The syrup is dark brown in color, has a 10-year shelf life and is sweet-astringent in taste. Usage as per prescription helps treat various complications. Khadirarishta syrup has a Vata as well as a Kapha pacifying impact on the body. Also, it is a potent blood purifier that clears toxins (ama) to get rid of related discomforts.

    This Ayurvedic blood purifier contains the following:

    • Khadira (Acacia Catechu)
    • Devadaru (Cedrus Deodara)
    • Babchi (Psoralea Corylifolia)
    • Honey
    • Clove
    • Long Pepper
    • Sugar candy
    • Cardamom
    • Bay Leaf
    • Cinnamon
    • Nagakeshara (Mesua Ferrea)
    • Twak (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum)
    • Patra (Cinnamomum Tamala)
    • Haritaki
    • Vibhitaki
    • Amalaki
    • Water

    Herbs including Khadira, Bakuchi, Amla, Vibhitika, Darvi as well as Devadaru are ground into a powder. These are boiled in around 90 L of water and reduced to just a quarter. The mixture is filtered, misri is mixed thoroughly and filtered again. The rest of the ingredients along with the obtained liquid are stored in ghee smeared air-tight glass jar. 1 month of fermentation period and the potion is filtered again, packed as well as sold. The shelf life is around 10 years. However, once the bottle is open, it expires within 1 or 2 months.

    Ayurvedic practitioners recommend having 10-20 ml of the Khadirarishta syrup mixed in an equal quantity of water right after meals. So, if it’s 4 tsp of the syrup, mix it with 4 tsp water and drink twice every day.

    Khadirarishta Syrup Side Effects

    • Heartburn
    • Burning sensation

    Although there aren’t any major side effects, pregnant as well as lactating women along with kids below 5 must avoid consuming the Khadirarishta syrup. Also, make sure to mix equal quantities of water as well as the syrup to avoid any contraindications. However, if you still get a tingling sensation, drink some water since that will help soothe the problem.
