Scleroderma Treatment: Home Remedies For The Autoimmune Disorder

Scleroderma is an autoimmune disorder. Sclero means hardening and derma means skin. Therefore, the scleroderma symptoms are hardening of the skin along with red spots on the face. Collagen overproduction is another major reason. So, the scleroderma treatment is essential else it can scar your kidneys as well as the lungs.

What Are The Scleroderma Causes?

  • Genetics
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Triggers like silica sand, cement or welding fumes

What Are The Scleroderma Symptoms?

  • Hardening of the skin on hands and face
  • Ulcers on fingertips
  • Cold fingers
  • Red, white or blue toes
  • Red spots on face and chest denoting open blood vessels
  • Excessive dryness of the mouth
  • Inflammation and swelling on hands and toes
  • Diarrhea
  • Pain in joints
  • Breathlessness
  • Acidity and heartburn

Scleroderma Treatment

1. Turmeric Is An Effective Scleroderma Treatment.

The fact that turmeric is anti-inflammatory, as well as an antiseptic, makes it the most favored remedy for scleroderma symptoms. So, make a thick paste by adding a little water to one tablespoon of turmeric powder and apply it on the affected areas.

2. Arjuna Helps Detoxify The Body.

Ayurveda considers Arjuna as a potent blood purifier. It effectively removes toxins from the body. So, boil some Arjuna leaves in one cup of water for 5-8 minutes and then strain. Drink this twice every day for to get rid of this autoimmune disease.

3. Neem Prevents Hardening Of The Skin.

Skin hardening is one of the major scleroderma symptoms. Therefore, neem is antibacterial as well as an antiseptic to heal the damage. Apply a thick neem paste on the patches for 15-20 minutes and wash off with normal water.

4. Scleroderma Symptoms Are Treatable With Garlic.

Scleroderma treatment has been assertive with garlic since it’s antimicrobial in nature and also fights off infections. So, cut a garlic clove and rub it on the affected areas for 20-30 minutes.

5. Ginger Tea Combats This Autoimmune Disease.

Ginger works in the same manner as turmeric or garlic. It boosts your immune system to prevent the development of other such autoimmune diseases. So, boil one teaspoon of ginger root in a cup of water. Steep for 5-7 minutes and drink thrice daily.

6. Evening Primrose Oil Treats Patches.

Evening primrose oil contains moisturizing as well as cooling properties. A regular application prevents hardening of the skin. So, take a cotton ball, dip it in primrose oil and apply every day to the affected areas for better results.

7. Lemon & Honey Moisturizes The Skin.

Both lemon and honey are antibacterial as well as astringent in nature. Therefore, add a teaspoon of honey to two tablespoons of lime juice. Dip it in a cotton ball and apply directly to the skin.
