But, what are the foods that help migraines? Here’s a natural approach in dealing with the condition to prevent the uncomfortable triggers. Foods That Help Migraines

1. Butterbur Is A Natural Beta Blocker.

Migraines often result from inflammation in the brain cells. Butterbur, therefore, normalizes the blood flow as well as inflammation in the brain. But, do not consume it raw.

2. Feverfew Is The Medieval Aspirin.

The herb is also known as wild chamomile. It has anti-inflammatory as well as analgesic properties and can be taken in the form of a tea or tincture.

3. Kale Is A Source Of Magnesium.

Kale is not only rich in magnesium, but also contains omega-3 fatty acids and fiber. It is one of the best foods that help migraines. So, add it to your diet in a soup or smoothie form.

4. Consume Carbohydrate-Rich Quinoa.

Whole grain foods that help migraines are rich in carbohydrates and protein. Therefore, quinoa can be eaten during a migraine attack without upsetting the stomach or causing nausea.

5. Carrot Is A Migraine Safe Food.

Carrots are rich in vitamin A, beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, and lutein. These components aid in migraine relief, and are therefore known as migraine safe foods.

6. One Of The Herbs For Migraines Is Basil.

Get rid of migraine by fulfilling your Vitamin B12 levels which can be found in basil leaves. These have also shown scientifically proven results to reduce the migraine headaches. So, add basil leaves to your daily cup of tea and feel the difference.

7. Eat Sweet Potato For Migraine Relief.

Sweet potato contains vitamin A and B6 along with magnesium, and calcium – all of which work effectively in decreasing the migraine headache episodes.

8. Ginger Is Amongst The Best Migraine Safe Foods.

Ginger contains a lot of substances that fight nausea and soothe the pain. Studies show that a daily ginger consumption lowers the intensity of a migraine headache.

9. Get Rid Of Migraine With Catnip.

Catnip belongs to the mint family and acts as a mild sedative. Apply a leaf salve on the temples during a migraine headache.

10. Bay Leaves Does More Than Increasing Taste.

Bay leaves or the sweet bay contains parthenolide, which is anti-inflammatory in nature. So, boil some bay leaves in one cup water for 5 minutes and drink to relieve pain.
