Kapha dosha is among the 3 Ayurvedic mind-body constitutions. This dosha is dominated by earth and water. When in balance, Kapha people have oily and thick skin. While their skin looks more youthful, it is also prone to problems like greasiness, clogged pores, cystic acne. The good news is that there are plenty of Ayurvedic remedies for these problems. Follow these Kapha skin tips and you will have gorgeous looking skin.

Kapha Skin Tips

1. Reduce Oiliness With Lemon And More.

If you have Kapha skin, chances are that you are often on the look out for oily skin home remedies. With its astringent and cleansing properties, lemon juice is one of the best natural ingredients for oily skin. Just add a teaspoon of water to a teaspoon of lemon juice and apply it onto your skin with cotton. Rinse with lukewarm water after 10 minutes. Other good oily skin remedies you can apply to your skin are are oranges, yogurt, apples, cucumbers, and tomatoes.

2. Use Anti-Acne Herbs And Oils.

There are plenty of Ayurvedic herbs for acne you can use that reduce greasiness, soothe inflammation, and promote healing. Some of them are:

  • Neem
  • Tea tree essential oil
  • Tulsi (holy basil)
  • Guggulu
  • Burdock
  • Rosemary
  • Chamomile
  • Turmeric

3. Cleanse Greasy Skin With Honey.

Since your pores can get easily clogged, you need to cleanse your skin frequently, at least once a week. Honey is overall a precious Ayurvedic ingredient, and a great natural skin cleanser for oily skin. It gets rid of excess greasiness without drying up the skin. Moreover, it helps keep acne away with its antibacterial properties. You can either mix it with lemon and water, or also apply plain honey onto your skin and wash off after 10 minutes.

4. Exfoliate With Oatmeal.

One of the important Kapha skin tips is that exfoliation should be a part of your skin care routine. Oatmeal is one of the best natural exfoliators for your skin type since it removes extra oil, gets rid of dead cells and brings a beautiful glow. Mix a bit of apple pulp with ½ cup of ground oatmeal. Add a tablespoon of honey and mix well to form a paste. Massage your skin with it in circular motions and then wash off.

5. Follow A Kapha Pacifying Diet.

Diet is among the most crucial Kapha beauty tips – since this will ensure that the Kapha stays balanced from within, not just on the surface of your skin. As you bring about more balance, you will not need other remedies as much as before – since your skin’s natural oiliness will reduce. Favour pungent, bitter, astringent tastes and light, dry and warm foods. Enjoy astringent foods like apples, sprouts, beans, and pomegranate. Eat plenty of green salads. On the other hand, avoid dairy, fried food, excess oils, and sweet food.
