Kids health must be like a blooming flower. If they’re brimming with vibrancy, everything feels positive. But, when your child isn’t able to reach their maximum potential, good habits and essential health tips come to the rescue. Vata governs the flow of your child’s intelligence, Pitta governs the metabolism and Kapha governs the structure. Understanding your child’s unique constitution helps form better and healthy habits. When your kid is old enough to start grasping, teach them these top 10 good habits.

Top 10 Good Habits For Kids

1. Early To Bed & Early Rise

For healthy living and to inculcate healthy habits in kids, make sure they go to bed early and rise before the sun. To unwind, get the lights out by 10 pm and start afresh around 5-6 am to embrace the time before the daily bustle.

2. Try Abhyanga.

Abhyanga helps lubricate their joints, rejuvenate the skin cells, enhances blood circulation, calms the nervous system and protects your child from daily stress. So, get them in a habit of having a good body massage.

3. Kids Health & Proper Hygiene

Amongst the top 10 good habits is teaching kids about cleanliness.

  • Brush twice daily.
  • Bathe every day.
  • Comb well.
  • Keep ears-nose-nails clean.
  • Wear clean and fresh clothes.
  • Teach them to clean the mess around.
  • Wash hair every two or three days.

4. Include Physical Activities In Their Routine.

It’s essential for your kids to understand the importance of an active lifestyle. Once they develop such good habits from a tender age, it will keep them healthy even throughout adulthood. Exercise for kids helps them sleep better, wake up feeling fresh, focus well, refrain from negativity and stay energized all day long.

5. Kids Health Starts With Love.

Best health tips do not only include hygiene or disease-care but also to stay affectionate throughout all their phases. So, help kids understand their emotions. Keep your love and trust in them unshaken. Even when they make mistakes, anger isn’t the solution. Be wise enough to encourage them to pave the way for success from failures.

6. Healthy Food Is Healthy Living.

Healthy food strengthens your child’s immunity. So, develop a better eating routine. Kids can easily be attracted to processed and junk food. But feed them with freshly prepared home cooked food and no leftovers. A spoonful of desi ghee is a must every day. Replace sugar with honey or jaggery. Include healing herbs and spices like ginger, turmeric, and cardamom. Encourage healthy snacking. No outside burger or pizzas. Rather, make these at home with fresh and nutrient-rich ingredients. Use whole grains, whole seeds, and wholemeal snacking options.

7. Increase Fluid Intake.

For a healthy life, it’s important to keep your kids hydrated. Beverages add on to sugar levels and weight gain, so focus on increasing their water intake.

8. Start With Household Chores.

Kids can help you around with any of the chores at home. Such good habits keep them organized and also respectful towards helpers or cleaners.

9. Encourage Healthy Snacking.

10. Promote General Awareness.

Kids health doesn’t only start and end at manners, fitness or food. There’s so much more in the world outside. It helps to widen their horizon and skills.
