Thrush In The Mouth (Oral Candidiasis): Remedies For Total Healing

Thrush in the mouth a.k.a. oral candidiasis occurs when the yeast candida albicans grows in the mouth. It can develop on the tongue, the roof of the mouth or the inner cheeks. This yeast infection leads to severe inflammation, pain, and even loss of taste. This is why it’s important to treat the infection to prevent major oral diseases. So, how to treat oral thrush? Cure thrush symptoms with these easy home remedies.

  • Dentures
  • Vaginal infections
  • Weak immunity

What Are The Thrush Symptoms?

  • Creamy white lesions in the mouth
  • Oral inflammation
  • Pain
  • Loss of taste
  • Tooth enamel damage
  • Oral mucous

How To Treat Oral Thrush?

1. Cinnamon Is Antibacterial.

How to treat oral thrush at home? Take a small piece of cinnamon bark and boil it in two cups of water for 10 minutes. Let it cool and then strain the water. Drink this once every day to relieve the discomforts.

2. Coconut Oil Pulling Treats Oral Candidiasis.

Since coconut is antimicrobial, it’s effective in treating oral candidiasis. So, take a teaspoon of coconut oil and swish it around in your mouth. Do it for a minute and then spit it out. Rinse your mouth with clean water.

3. Oregano Tea Prevents Thrush In The Mouth.

Oregano has antibacterial as well as antifungal properties. Therefore, boil some fresh oregano leaves in a cup of water. Steep the tea for 10 minutes and allow it to cool. Drink this twice daily to prevent thrush in the mouth.

4. Raw Garlic Curbs Thrush Symptoms.

Garlic possesses antifungal properties since it contains allicin which is an active compound. So, crush 2-3 cloves of garlic and swallow it with a glass of water. It will reduce the thrush symptoms, including mouth fungus.

5. Milk Thistle Is Effective For Mouth Fungus.

Milk thistle reduces the side effects of medications causing oral candidiasis. So, in a cup of boiling water, add a teaspoon of milk thistle. Allow it to steep for 5-8 minutes and then strain. Drink the tea twice every day.

6. Baking Soda Is Beneficial.

Baking soda helps in reducing inflammation caused by thrush in the mouth. Therefore, add half a teaspoon of baking soda in a cup of lukewarm water. Rinse the mouth thoroughly but do not swallow the water.

7. Saltwater Rinse Is Effective.

Yes, salt helps cleanse as well as soothe the mouth fungus. So, add half a teaspoon of salt in warm water. Rinse and gargle your mouth with the saline water for healing the thrush symptoms.
