Home Remedies For Sugar Withdrawal

1. A Spoonful Of Almond Butter Is Helpful

Almonds lower cholesterol and help maintain the blood sugar levels. However, giving up sugar can lower your blood pressure leading to chills or unconsciousness. So, grind a handful of almonds till a thick creamy buttery paste is ready. Store the same in a glass jar and keep inside the fridge. Eat the butter whenever hungry or craving sweets.

2. Lemon & Mint Detox Water Helps Stay Hydrated.

Giving up sugar isn’t easy and therefore it is important to stay hydrated. So, prepare a beneficial detox water by adding thinly sliced lemon with 10-15 mint leaves in one-liter water. Let the water infuse for 5-8 hours. Drink throughout the day to reduce the signs of anxiety.

3. Garlic Prevents Diarrhoea & Indigestion

Amongst the major sugar withdrawal symptoms are diarrhoea as well as indigestion. Hence, garlic helps reinforce the digestive fire. So, you can simply swallow 2-3 cloves of crushed garlic with water early morning to strengthen your digestive system.

4. Ginger Tea Reduces Nausea

Ginger is known for relieving some common sugar withdrawal symptoms like nausea or cold. However, the chills or vomiting sensation are escapable. Boil a cup of water and add some ginger, steep for about 5 minutes and drink lukewarm every day. Since ginger is a potent analgesic, it can also help cure sugar withdrawal headache.

5. Licorice Root Cures Sleeplessness

Sugar withdrawal causes sleeplessness among some individuals. But, the licorice roots act as a natural sedative so you can take a teaspoon of dried licorice powder with one glass milk before sleeping for quick relief.

6. Cherry Juice Decreases Muscle Pain

Blend some fresh cherries and prepare a juice to drink once daily. Since cherries are analgesic as well as anti-inflammatory in nature, these help reduce the sugar withdrawal symptoms. You can also add a little turmeric for better results.

7. Chamomile Tea Cures Sugar Withdrawal Headache

Since chamomile is anti-inflammatory as well as soothing in nature, it helps calm your mind. Therefore, add a teaspoon of chamomile in a cup of water, boil for about 5 minutes and drink twice daily. This will help overcome headache and other associated symptoms.
