However, the fast food trend in on an increase, mindful eating is on a decline and on-the-go habits are what we are getting accustomed to. Blame it on lifestyle, but we’ve forgotten how a good gut feels like. These are stomach ache remedies that use ingredients right from the comforts of your home!

1. Fix With Fennel

Anything easily available in your home and also has medicinal properties can be an essential stomach ache remedy. And fennel has been beneficial for several bodily ailments. You’ll probably be surprised by how this commonly available spice proves to be a divine treatment for curing your stomach pain instantly. So, boil a tbsp or two in 1 glass of water, sieve the mix, let it cool and drink the fennel tea twice daily. You can also simply chew some roasted fennel seeds to cure the pain.

2. Need Herbal Home Remedies for Stomach Ache? Try Triphala!

This is one sure shot Ayurvedic remedy for stomach ache. Irregular eating habits cause problems like constipation which come accompanied by abdominal pain and weakness. But, Triphala is like a precious gift to humans. Mix 100 grams of Triphala powder in about 60 grams of sugar and consume the mix twice daily. This effectively cures all stomach related ailments.

3. Bountiful Basil

Holy basil is a boon when it comes to adopting natural remedies for stomach ache. It has the ability to cure several ailments in the human body. So, prepare a warm decoction of basil leaves to relieve the discomforts. Another herbal remedy for stomach ache is to prepare a powder of some basil leaves, dried ginger, black peppercorns and neem leaves in equal proportions and consume it twice in a day.

4. Chenopodium Leaves (Bathua)

Bathua is a green blessing. It strengthens your digestive system and clears your stomach to keep it disease free. You can consume it in the form of a delicious vegetable, prepare a clear soup out of it or simply drink the juice of bathua leaves to alleviate gas, stomach pain or indigestion. It is one of the most effective home remedies for stomach ache.

5. Goodness of Ginger

The use of ginger in curing stomach ailments dates back to the historic times. It makes a great choice of home remedies for stomach ache. Like it or not, drink ginger root tea as it makes the best herbal remedy for stomach ache and is also called as a Vata tea. Drink one glass of ginger juice and add in some water, sugar or honey, lemon, and carrot. Blend, strain and enjoy every day! Another simple method is to eat some fresh ginger or rub some of its extracted juice on your belly and calm your gastric juices.

6. Comforting Chamomile

It is definitely relaxing for your digestive tract. In case your stomach hurts due to indigestion, chamomile is the right solution for you. Its anti-inflammatory properties can help you calm the aching gut. Boil a tbsp of dried chamomile in water, let it sit for about 15 minutes, and then strain the mix. Next, add some lemon juice and honey. Consume the calming Chamomile tea thrice a day.

7. A Yummy Boil of Yogurt

What could be more soothing than having a bowl full of refreshing yogurt? It might not seem like an obvious home remedy for stomach ache but it does the trick. Yogurt helps in restoring the gut balance to improve its health. And thanks to the good bacteria that yogurt contains, it can easily make to your everyday diet unless you don’t really want to pile on those extra proteins. Otherwise, you can eat plain yogurt. Or you can mix it with some fresh coriander leaves along with a pinch of salt, a tsp of cardamom and drizzle on top a few drops of honey to make a nice and healthy relieving remedy.
