A face clay mask helps make your skin soft, shiny, and supple. It gives you a healthy glow. So, using the best from the treasures of Ayurveda according to your dosha protects your skin, unlike harsh chemical based soaps that rip off your skin’s protective oils. Try out the best clay mask to balance your doshas and include them in your daily skin care routine.

Best Clay Mask For Your Skin Type

1. Vata Skin Type: Rhassoul Clay Is Great For Dry Skin.

For dry and dull skin, Rhassoul clay works like magic. It has the ability to free your skin from any impurities, including clogged pores and even stubborn blackheads. If the atmospheric changes make your skin feel rough, Rhassoul clay a.k.a. Red Moroccan clay hydrates your skin to keep it moist.

Rhassoul Clay Homemade Face Mask:

To effectively treat your dry skin, try this Rhassoul clay mask for your face, body, and hair. In just a tbsp of Rhassoul clay powder, add 2 drops argan oil and 2 tbsp warm water. Mix the ingredients in a non-metallic container and apply the face clay for about 10 minutes daily to balance the energies of Vata.

2. Pitta Skin Type: Bentonite Clay Mask Is Beneficial For Sensitive Skin.

A bentonite clay mask is useful for sensitive (Pitta) skin. In fact, it is useful for all kinds of skin types. Bentonite has the ability to remove toxins and absorb skin impurities. It oxygenates your skin cells and leaves an alkalizing effect. Topical use of a bentonite clay mask helps soothe inflammation along with curing psoriasis, acne, spots, eczema, and more.

Bentonite Clay Homemade Face Mask:

In about 1/4th cup of organic bentonite clay, add 5 drops tea tree oil. Mix half a tsp of turmeric powder along with 3/4th cup spring water. Stir well and store in a glass jar. You can use it for daily morning exfoliation – 10 minutes, and the face clay will bring about visible changes.

3. Kapha Skin Type: A Green Clay Mask Treats Oily Skin.

For skin that’s prone to excessive oil and related troubles, a green clay mask comes in handy. Having an ionic charge, it detoxifies Kapha skin to effectively unclog the skin pores. It helps enhance blood circulation towards your facial skin and tightens large pores. A green clay mask also works well for allergies. Topical use of this clay aids the functioning of your oil glands to bring about better skin health.

Green Clay Homemade Face Mask:

In a glass bowl or jar, mix a tbsp of French green clay, 1/2 a tsp organic apple cider vinegar, some rosewater and 1/2 a tsp activated charcoal powder. Use this best clay mask for Kapha every 2-3 days for 15 minutes and wash off with normal water.
