Let’s talk about tea and blood pressure. As you already know, blood pressure is not one thing to ignore: if unmanaged, it can kill. But the good news is, combining herbal medicines with a wholesome diet and lifestyle can go a long way in giving your cardiovascular system the support it needs. Blood pressure tea is one such herbal medicine extensively used in Ayurveda. Made with medicinal herbs  – many of which are probably in your kitchen – these teas boost healing and well-being. Tea To Lower Blood Pressure

1. Cardamom Tea, A Flavourful Healer For The Heart

First up is cardamom tea. One of the most precious (and expensive) spices in the world, cardamom can significantly lower blood pressure levels in a matter of months. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. So, enjoy cardamom tea to lower blood pressure. 

2. Ashwagandha Tea Busts Stress & Boosts Health.

Ashwagandha tea classifies as a rejuvenative herb in Ayurvedic medicine. It’s an excellent tea for high blood pressure. Also called Indian ginseng, this herb is an adaptanogen – it brings complete balance in one’s stress levels. So, it’s helpful for the millions of people who’s BP problems result from stress and anxiety.

3. Ginger Tea Thins Blood & Lowers Inflammation.

Next up is ginger tea, a potent Ayurvedic blood pressure tea. It relaxes the muscles in the blood vessels, has a thinning effect on the blood, and therefore tackles hypertension. Moreover, ginger also reduces inflammation in the body – which promotes better heart health. And if you have digestive problems, it’ll take care of that too!

4. Tulsi Tea Is A Powerful Wellness Booster.

Since ancient times, Ayurveda has recommended the use of holy basil or tulsi tea to lower blood pressure. With loads of magnesium and volatile oils, tulsi tea relaxes the blood vessels, reduces stress, and improves the flow of blood throughout the body. It also reduces cholesterol.

5. Chamomile Tea Boosts Calmness Naturally.

At the mention of chamomile tea, the first thing that comes to mind is calmness. And it not only relaxes the mind, but also the muscles and blood vessels – and all three of these effects are excellent for reducing blood pressure. Chamomile is also very good for soothing the stomach. So, enjoy a cup every day.

6. Gotu Kola, A Traditional Tea For High Blood Presure

Gotu kola has been traditionally used in Ayurveda to treat BP. Popularly called the ‘herb of longevity’, gotu kola is particularly helpful for those with Pitta aggravation and resulting hypertension. It’s very effective in regulating blood flow, and it also busts stress.

7. Lavender Tea, An Aromatic Blood-Pressure-Buster

You could also try lavender tea for high blood pressure. Sip on a cup, and you’ll soon notice your heart beating slower. Lavender has been found to reduce blood pressure. It busts stress and helps sleep better. You can also use lavender oil as aromatherapy. Here are some more benefits of lavender.
