More and more people these days are switching from store-bought skincare products to homemade and natural alternatives. One reason is that store-bought stuff often contains things you’d never want in your body. Things like body scrubs, lip balms, and even toothpaste, are SO much better for your body…since you can make them with natural and pure ingredients – leaving out the harsh chemicals. Another reason is that it’s a whole lot of fun! Try these DIY body scrub recipes, and you’ll experience it for yourself.

DIY Body Scrub Recipes

1. Coffee And Sugar For Rejuvenation

Drinking coffee may not be great for your skin, but applying it certainly is! To make this homemade scrub, mix ¼ cup sugar, ¼ cup ground coffee, and 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil. This will form a paste that you can massage onto your skin. It exfoliates, supplies antioxidants, cleanses, moisturises, and rejuvenates your skin.

2. Coconut Oil And Sugar For Deep Cleansing

This homemade body scrub makes use of coconut oil, an extremely valued Ayurvedic ingredient for beauty. Don’t be afraid of using oil – coconut oil doesn’t usually make skin greasier, but brings balance in the skin’s oiliness and removes all the dirt. Mix ½ cup sugar with ½ cup coconut oil, and your coconut body scrub is ready!

3. Epsom Salt And Jojoba Oil For All-Round Skin Health

Epsom salt and jojoba oil make for an excellent natural body scrub . It not only pampers your skin, but also releases stress and toxins from your body – helping you look better inside out. All you need to do is add 3 drops of jojoba oil to 1 cup epsom salt. Mix well to form a paste and massage it on yourself.

4. Oatmeal, Honey And Lavender For Skin Healing

Oatmeal is an excellent natural exfoliator. So if you have dullness, acne, or blemishes, this body scrub will certainly bring improvements. Honey fights bacteria and inflammation, while lavender soothes skin irritation. To ½ cup uncooked oatmeal, add ½ tbsp honey and 2 drops lavender essential oil. Crush them all together to form a rough paste.

5. Yogurt And Honey For Young, Clear Skin

This homemade body scrub for glowing skin is truly excellent. Yogurt and honey together make a skin-healing potion that get rid of dirt, acne, scars, dryness, as well as dullness. They also fight signs of ageing. And it’s quite easy to make too: just add 1 tsp cup honey to 1 tbsp yogurt and mix well.

6. Turmeric And Coconut Oil For Glowing Skin

Turmeric is a great Ayurvedic ingredient that reduces inflammation, promotes wound healing, fights early ageing, and also heals problems like acne. When combined with coconut oil, it’s a sure-shot remedy for dull skin. Mix 2 tsp turmeric powder with 1 cup coconut oil, and you have a powerful golden body scrub.
