Oregano sprinkled over a pizza slice isn’t something new. We all like it that way. But, oregano is much more than a seasoning. It’s a medicinal plant with exceptional qualities, especially when talking about the oregano oil benefits. It helps lower the risk of cancer, aids better breathing, and fights off infections like E.coli. The botanical name of the oregano herb is Origanum Vulgare. Ayurveda refers to oregano as Sathra, and the oil is used as a heating carminative for improving digestion. However, below are some oregano oil uses as well as its advantages.

1. Use Oregano For Cold & Cough.

Since oregano oil benefits by removing excess mucus from the body, it also relieves problems like asthma as well as bronchitis.

2. Oregano For Acne Is Miraculous.

Oregano is perfect for treating acne. However, the oregano oil side effects may harm the skin when used raw. So, apply diluted oil to reduce acne as well as blemishes.

3. Oregano Essential Oil Builds Immune Strength.

Oregano essential oil is antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, sedative, analgesic as well as carminative in nature. These properties support the immune system and guard the body against ailments.

4. Boost Your Gut Health With Oregano Oil.

In Ayurveda, a balance of Pitta, Vata as well as Kapha is necessary for overall health. Oregano oil benefits by increasing pitta in the body, leading to a better digestive system.

Oregano Oil Uses

  • Warm Compress

Add two drops of oregano essential oil in warm water and drink once daily to relieve pain as well as gas.

  • Skin Bath

Put two to three drops oregano essential oil in bathing water for a clear and bacteria-free skin.

  • Steam Inhalation

One of the most popular oregano oil uses. Mix two drops of the oil in steaming water for congestion relief.

  • Massage

Take two drops of oregano essential oil with two tablespoons of olive oil and then gently massage for pain.
