Ringworm is a pretty common skin infection which is also highly contagious. It spreads through any living parasite but despite the name, there’s no worm development. However, there are several Ayurvedic home remedies for ringworm to heal the skin within weeks.

Over time, ringworm forms a typical ring-like shape and leads to itchy, scaly and patchy skin. It most commonly occurs on the arms, scalp, and neck. Fortunately, this condition responds well to natural cleansers including herbs, spices, and other Ayurvedic treatments.

Home Remedies For Ringworm

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a universal solution. It has strong anti-fungal properties that easily help you get rid of ringworm. So, simply soak a cotton ball in some undiluted ACV and brush it over the infected skin. Doing this at least three times daily will make the infection disappear.

2. Turmeric

Having numerous health benefits, turmeric is an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial spice that also inhibits the formation of fungal infections. Prepare a paste of some freshly ground turmeric in water and apply it to the inflamed skin. This is one of the best home remedies for ringworm.

3. Lemongrass Oil

Lemongrass oil extracts have anti-fungal properties that help get rid of infections like ringworm. Take some lemongrass oil and mix it with some coconut oil and sesame seeds. Apply this to the infected area and it will soothe your skin.

4. Licorice

Having powerful antimicrobial properties, licorice extract can be used as one of the sure-shot home remedies for ringworm. Mix 8 tsp of powdered licorice in a cup of boiling water. Let the mixture reduce to half and form the consistency of a paste. When it’s cool enough to touch, apply it to the affected areas and leave for at least 15 minutes.

5. Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is one of the best natural remedies for ringworm. It can soothe inflammation and comfort your skin. So, at least three times in a day, directly apply some fresh aloe vera gel as an effective ointment to treat the condition. It makes your skin glossy and eliminates other irritants as well.

6. Neem

How to cure ringworms at home? Bring this wonder leaf to action. Simply apply some crushed neem leaves and their juice to the affected area and easily get rid of the infection within a few days. This will also help cure other skin irritations and restore the natural luster.

7. Coconut Oil

This is amongst the highly effective and topical home remedies for ringworm. In fact, coconut oil is an ideal treatment. Warm it up slightly (until it becomes liquid if in solid state). Directly apply it to your skin and allow it to effectively get absorbed. This will ensure that the infection heals quickly and also that no mark is left behind.
