Pleuritic chest pain is a common symptom observed when you have pleurisy. This is a respiratory disease that leads to the inflammation of pleura, a membrane surrounding your lungs as well as the rib cage. Due to the infection, it becomes difficult for you to breathe, which causes several other pleurisy symptoms like indigestion. Therefore, pleurisy treatment is necessary to avoid long-term discomforts.

Ayurvedic Perspective On Pleurisy

In Ayurveda, pleurisy is known as parshwashool. Pleurisy causes your doshas to grow severely out of balance. Aggravated Pitta, which is hot in nature, liquifies the thick as well as irregular Kapha to accumulate in the lungs. This watery liquid eventually leads to indigestion and inflammation. Therefore, home remedies along with diet as well as lifestyle changes make pleurisy treatment easy.

What Are The Pleurisy Causes?

  • Viral infections
  • Bronchitis
  • Pneumonia
  • Tuberculosis
  • Wounds as well as rib fractures
  • Chest or lung tumors
  • Cancer
  • Blood clots in the lungs
  • Immune system disorders

What Are The Pleurisy Symptoms?

  • Hair loss
  • Aggravated pain in the chest
  • Constipation
  • Pericarditis
  • Pus in the pleural cavity
  • Breathing problem
  • Loss of appetite

Pleurisy Treatment In Ayurveda

1. Cinnamon Reduces Pleuritic Chest Pain.

Since cinnamon is antispasmodic in nature, it can quickly treat the condition. So, take one gram of cinnamon powder with honey every day to cure pleurisy. Both cinnamon as well as honey have antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to heal the respiratory tract.

2. Cayenne Pepper Is Therapeutic For Pleurisy Symptoms.

Add half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder to a glass of water. Also, mix some honey and heat the solution. Drink this three times in a week to cure all your bodily inflammations.

3. Curcuma Longa Relieves The Pleuritic Chest Pain Symptoms.

Since turmeric or curcumin longa is an Ayurvedic miracle, you can drink a glass of warm turmeric milk every day before sleeping. It helps treat a lot of infections as well as diseases in the body. And, abundant antioxidants effectively cure respiratory disorders.

4. Giloy Alleviates The Pleurisy Symptoms.

Since giloy has the ability to get rid of all the bodily toxins, you can have it every day. Therefore, drink one cup of giloy juice daily or simply consume its powder with honey or water.

5. Tulsi Is A Helpful Pleurisy Treatment.

Tulsi or basil leaves are a beneficial pleurisy treatment. So, add 4-5 basil leaves in a cup of boiling water. Take it off the heat after 5 minutes. Let it steep for about 2 minutes and drink this tea every day to reduce the pleurisy symptoms.
