Home Remedies For Wheezing
1. Steam Inhalation Reduces The Wheezing Sound.
Steam inhalation is one of the easiest, yet most effective home remedies for wheezing cough. It works well for those suffering from cold and respiratory problems because the steam cleanses the air passages and allows free breathing. Take about 500 ml of water in a pan and bring it to a boil. When the water starts boiling, turn the heat off. Add a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil for better results. Keep a towel over your head to keep the steam from diversion, and then inhale the steam. There are other essential oils like geranium, lavender, and menthol that can be added to the steam.
2. Thyme Tea: An Effective Wheezing Treatment
Wheezing can be dealt by drinking thyme herbal tea. Thyme has flavonoids and volatile oils that remove bacteria from the sinuses. Boil half teaspoon of thyme in 250 ml of water. Let it steep for a few minutes and consume twice a day. Peppermint tea can be a great alternative to thyme tea, but make sure it is not consumed by children since it can harm them.
3. Honey Cures Wheezing And Coughing.
Honey is among the best home remedies for wheezing. Taking it in warm drinks help reduce the wheezing sound. Honey is antimicrobial as well as anti-inflammatory in nature. When mixed in herbal beverages, it reduces throat inflammation. Warm one glass of water and add a teaspoon lemon juice along with one teaspoon honey. Drink this every morning for faster healing. For a wheezing cough, take one teaspoon of honey before sleeping to keep the throat moist and warm.
4. Garlic Vegetable Juice Reduces Wheezing.
Prepare a juice by mixing the vegetables of your choice like spinach, celery, cabbage or even fruits. Avoid any ingredient that may cause an allergic reaction. After the juice is ready, add one teaspoon of garlic juice and drink. This juice works as an effective wheezing treatment by clearing your throat and flushing out the bacteria.
