Ayurveda facilitates a better balance between your mind, body, and the soul. It plays an important role in covering up deficiencies that show up in the most ignored forms such as brittle nails. It is said, healthy nails are a reflection of the functioning inside. However, if you observe any nail problems, it is time to regain their strength. Vata imbalance needs correction along with you being attentive towards certain lifestyle changes.

With each passing day that you spend at work, outside or being occupied in the house chores, your nails and health overall get disturbed. Therefore, these amazing superfoods will help cure nail problems along with inducing better growth and making them all the more pretty.

Foods For Healthy Nails

1. Milk Pacifies Vata.

Providing your body with sufficient calcium, one glass of warm milk every day helps improve nail problems and also balance Vata.

2. Carrots Are Good In Vitamin A.

Being rich in essential vitamins for nails including vitamin A, carrots help prevent any related problems. These help maintain healthy nails and also visibly improve their appearance. You can simply crunch and munch one every day or enjoy its juice!

3. Tomatoes Cure Nail Problems.

These not only enhance your skin health but also help maintain healthy nails. Being enriched with biotin along with Vitamins A and C, tomatoes make your nails strong and shiny.

4. Bananas Are Enriched With Vitamins for nails.

To strengthen brittle nails and also enhance their texture, one raw banana every day is all you need. Zinc and silica content helps get rid of any nail problems.

5. Oatmeal Prevents Brittle Nails.

An oatmeal breakfast every day will stimulate a better nail growth as well as development. It is tasty, nutritious and has several other health benefits.

6. Almonds Promote Healthy Nails.

If your nails are weak, have a handful of almonds daily. It’s a wonderful nut that helps prevent chipping as well as breakage. These aren’t just heart healthy but also great for maintaining healthy nails. You can even use almond oil for the same.

7. Spinach Thickens Your Nails.

Containing a sufficient amount of iron, spinach is a natural treatment for brittle nails. In fact, any of the iron-rich greens are great for nail problems.

8. Yogurt Is Beneficial.

9. Coconut/ Olive Oil Prevents Brittle Nails.

Both coconut, as well as olive oil, are beneficial for your nail health. Not only are these nourishing for brittle nails but also help add shine as well as strength. How to use them for healthy nails? Prepare this effective mix – 1/4th cup of coconut oil, 3-4 drops of rosemary oil and some honey – mix properly, heat for 20 seconds and soak your nails. In the case of olive oil, you can simply massage your nails directly to promote a healthy growth.

10. Water Keeps You Hydrated.

Last but not least, water! Yes, without this divine liquid, our system isn’t functional. So, apart from the essential vitamins for nails, drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to prevent dullness as well as dehydration.
