Skin pores, you can’t really see all of them but for every hair on the body, there’s one corresponding opening. There can be both small or big pores according to the health of your skin. However, if latter is the case, how to shrink pores? Well, there’s no permanent treatment for open pores but you can, of course, make them appear smaller.

When the skin pores are constantly exposed to sunlight, pollution or harsh chemicals, they accumulate dirt, cause acne and eventually widen up. Therefore, how to shrink pores? Try these home remedies and heal open pores!

Home Remedies For Open Pores

1. Sugar Scrub Is Soothing.

Sugar granules act as a scrub that helps get rid of skin impurities. So, mix a teaspoon of lemon juice in a teaspoon of sugar. Scrub the face in circular motions for 30 seconds. Wash with normal water and moisturize the skin with aloe vera thereafter.

2. Rose Water Keeps Away Big Pores.

Rose water provides a cooling effect and also lightens your skin tone. However, for better results, add one tablespoon cucumber juice and lemon juice in rosewater. Apply it on open pores and clean with water after 20 minutes.

3. Molasses Is Moisturizing.

Make a paste with 2 tablespoon molasses, rose water and lemon juice. Apply on face and let it dry. Wash after 20-25 minutes. Moisturize the face afterward with a herbal lotion.

4. Aloe Vera Is Skin Friendly.

Aloe vera is a moisturizing as well as a soothing agent. So, take some aloe vera gel and gently massage your skin in circular motions. Wash off with cold water and repeat every day.

5. How To Shrink Pores? Try Oatmeal.

Since oats are rich in antioxidants and these also gently exfoliate your skin cells, a weekly mask is beneficial. Therefore, simply apply crushed oats mixed in some honey and water for about 30 minutes every week and see the difference.

6. Apple Cider Vinegar Is Beneficial.

Apply diluted ACV on the face every day using a cotton ball and see the results. This properly cleans your skin and avoids the formation of large pores. Apple cider vinegar also acts as a skin tonic and provides the needed shine.

7. Papaya Shrinks Big Pores.

Mash some ripe papaya and apply on the open pores. Let it dry and wash after 30 minutes. Papaya will unclog the pores and maintain your skin health.

8. Baking Soda Clears Your Skin.

Baking soda helps remove the impurities from your skin and kill the harmful bacteria. Therefore, massage the skin with a paste of baking soda mixed in warm water. Wash off with normal water after 30 seconds.

9. Banana Tightens Open Pores.

Open pores on your skin can be reduced with banana as it contains lutein along with potassium to revive the skin health. So, gently massage your skin with a banana peel every day and wash off after 10 minutes.

10. Essential Oils Are Important.

Jojoba oil is widely used in several cosmetics due to its cleansing as well as moisturizing properties. So, massage the skin with 3-4 drops of jojoba oil and leave it overnight to light the appearance of big pores.
