The most important relationship that you have is with yourself. Therefore, caring to have a self-care routine isn’t selfish but is necessary as well as healthy. This is especially true if you’re someone who is always on the go. Ayurveda proposes that one must focus on holistic healthcare rather than merely struggling to live. This includes both your physical as well as emotional well-being. But sometimes, adherence is difficult. So, how to take care of yourself in this fast-paced life? To not end up weakening your immune system, here are a few essential self-care tips for a healthy mind, body, and soul.

Self-Care Tips

1. Compliment Yourself.

It is one of the best ways to keep producing those feel-good hormones. Print a set of amazing compliments, cut them out, fold and fill a jar with those. Pick one and read it aloud to come out of your sadness every time. It is one of the best self-care ideas that’ll help build confidence as well as positivity. If not that, maintain a journal and write down the compliments people give you.

2. Practice Pranayama.

Ayurveda recommends performing pranayama in your daily self-care routine. It’s a breathing exercise that increases vitality and focus. Therefore, sit quietly and focus on your breathing pattern for about 3-5 minutes. Inhale and exhale deeply. Carry out the exercise at least twice daily. When practiced with daily yoga poses, pranayama exhibits various health benefits.

3. Drink More Water.

Self-care ideas originate from the needs of your body. A lot of times, working women and men tend to ignore their body’s thirst which gradually leads to dehydration. Hence, drink at least six glasses of water each day. Also, drink a cup of warm water every morning to assist digestion as well as detoxification.

4. Oil Your Body.

How to take care of yourself? Try Abhyanga. Your body accumulates harmful toxins due to a stressful lifestyle and a polluted environment. Therefore, oiling every morning before taking a bath helps immensely. Dosha-specific infused oils not only nourish the skin but also make you feel rejuvenated. Incorporating the practice in your daily self-care routine also helps you better connect with your body.

5. Power Nap’s Powerful.

Take a power nap if the day is hectic. It allows the mind to rest and solve issues more efficiently after the break. Napping is one of the best self-care tips for working women and men. All you need to do is find a suitable place, nap for about 15-30 minutes and voila, you are good to go!

6. Music Is Soothing.

We understand that your work is important. But, occupational health is significant too.  So, how to take care of yourself at work or even otherwise? Relax as well as indulge with your favorite playlist. Music is soothing. It helps you unwind and also opens up your creative channels.

7. Declutter Your Workspace.

Organize your workspace or your wardrobe as it will help you find things when you need them. Make a little time to keep your stuff at the right place.  It is one of the smartest self-care ideas.
