Nerve problems can be treated – that too without leaving any side effects. You may require antidepressants, neuroprotective or anti-inflammatory medicines. But, there are also a wide variety of medicinal herbs to combat the inflammation.

Nerve Damage Treatment

1. Brahmi Is Friendly To The Nervous System.

You can easily overcome the symptoms of nerve weakness with regular consumption of Brahmi. It’s a brain tonic that helps improve your brain functioning and also reduces the associated inflammation. Therefore, take 400-500mg of Brahmi powder with ghee every day for quick results.

2. Ashwagandha Fights Off Nerve Disorders.

Ayurveda suggests ashwagandha for memory retention and brain power. It also helps enhance nerve functioning to heal such disorders. So, take about 500mg of ashwagandha powder with one tablespoon ghee to ease the discomforts.

3. Shankhpushpi Boosts Serotonin To Cure Nerve Pain.

Since shankhpushpi is a brain stimulant as well as an antidepressant, it protects the body from nerve pain or damage. Therefore, boil Shankhpushpi in one cup of water for 5 minutes. Strain the decoction and drink 50ml twice daily.

4. Lion’s Mane Mushroom Fixes Nerve Damage.

Nerve damage is reversible with Lion’s Mane mushrooms. They promote nerve growth and prevent nerve disorders. Saute thinly sliced mushrooms in one tbsp butter till they lose all moisture. Add sliced onions and some chopped garlic. Cook until the mushrooms turn brown. Mix three tbsp of flour and two tbsp of butter. Slowly pour sour cream and cook on low heat. Serve with brown rice to reduce the inflammation.

5. Gotu Kola Treats Nerve Problems.

Centella Asiatica or gotu kola is brain tonic. It contains asiatic acid that aids better nervous functioning. So, boil 1g of gotu kola powder in a cup of water. Add tulsi leaves and steep for 5 minutes. Strain and drink twice daily or till the symptoms subside.
